L’Eau d’Issey Oceanic Expedition is woody / aquatic with Yuzu in the top note (East Asian lemon hybrid of wild mandarin and Citrus ichangensis), associated with notes of bergamot and petitgrain thus creating a cool breeze. At the heart of the fragrance we find Cascalone (an olfactory molecule that recreates the smell of a sea breeze) enriched with spicy ginger. Sandalwood and Ambrox (dry woody note) will bring elegance and personality to the perfume, they then form the base of the perfume.

Issey Miyake is one of the first Japanese designers to organize a fashion show in Europe (1973).
